Elizabeth Sheehan honoured with Canada’s 2018 Clean50 award!

We are proud to share that our very own, Elizabeth Sheehan, has been named a 2018 Canada’s #Clean50 Award Honouree, in the Educators and Thought Leaders category.

Elizabeth was amongst approximately 120 past and incoming Clean50 Honourees meeting last week at the “Clean50 Summit 7.0” on Toronto Island, to spend a day amongst peers and colleagues tackling common sustainability challenges. We were humbled to be amongst other Clean50 leaders from across Canada and look forward to finding new and innovative ways to collaborate with fellow honourees. Low Carbon Partnership peers, Brent Gilmour of Quest, and the Natural Step, were also recognized and in attendance.

“Today I share this recognition with Climate Smart businesses across all sectors of our economy. These small businesses are innovating and taking risks to grow the low carbon economy across Canada. We are also grateful to our municipal partners, including both city environmental and economic development teams, Vancity, and both the Port of Vancouver and Vancouver International Airport.” Elizabeth Sheehan, President, Climate Smart Businesses Inc.

Canada’s Clean50 Awards are announced annually. The criteria in determining Honourees is to consider actual measurable accomplishments, demonstrated innovation, collaboration with other organizations, and the power of the Honouree’s contribution to inspire other Canadians to take similar action. Elizabeth Sheehan was chosen after rigourous screening and research by Delta Management, with advice from internal researchers and external advisors, and was among Honourees selected from an initial pool of approximately 600 well qualified nominees.
